Kevin’s journey into physiotherapy began with his own frustrations as a patient. Throughout high school, he experienced a series of injuries and was often left dissatisfied by health professionals who dismissed his concerns or provided generic, ineffective treatments. Determined to find better answers, Kevin took matters into his own hands, pursuing physiotherapy as a way to understand his own body and to help others avoid the same pitfalls. His mission has since become clear: to provide the individualised care and attention that patients need but rarely receive.
After earning his degree from the University of Queensland in 2018, Kevin specialised in spinal physiotherapy, where he gained over five years of experience working in a dedicated spinal clinic. From patients recovering from failed spinal surgeries to those with debilitating neurological symptoms, Kevin honed his ability to tackle chronic conditions with precision and creativity. His hands-on skills are not only grounded in theory but constantly refined through practice — often on himself, as he works to perfect the techniques that will bring relief to his patients.
Kevin’s journey into hypermobility treatment began during his second year of practice when he encountered his most interesting case yet: a patient with undiagnosed Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (H-EDS). Together, they navigated the myriad symptoms — from joint dislocations and digestive issues to POTS and chronic fatigue — and eventually secured a successful NDIS application for the patient.
As he worked closely with the patient, learning about their symptoms and navigating their journey toward a solution, Kevin realised how frequently hypermobility conditions go unrecognised and misunderstood by the medical community.
This experience deepened his appreciation and knowledge of hypermobility conditions and inspired him to help other patients with similar challenges. He quickly became adept at recognising the subtle signs of hypermobility spectrum disorders in other patients, many of whom had long gone undiagnosed.
Patients appreciate Kevin’s calm, attentive nature, often finding that their physical recovery is accompanied by improvements in their mental and emotional well-being as well. His ability to create a safe and trusting environment allows him to address both the physical and psychological impacts of living with chronic pain and complex conditions.
Outside of work, Kevin stays active by playing football and indulging his creative side by composing and listening to music..
